Summary of the programme

Six support packages of 7,000 € each are on offer for TV writers or producer-writer teams to help develop ideas for new TV drama series or feature length TV films on a theme involving contemporary science and technology. Ideas should give prominence to women as scientists or engineers.

If you are interested in developing a new TV Drama script involving science, just contact the EuroPAWS Office to register your interest (co-ordinates below). As a first step, just send your name and co-ordinates, and one paragraph outlining your interest – which may be a particular idea or simply a general interest in the potential of science for TV drama.

This is not a competition: EuroPAWS will work with you to help develop the idea. But because this is a publicly funded scheme an international jury will make the final decision on which 6 projects should receive support, to ensure a level playing field and that the main criteria of good drama, good science and interesting female character(s) are met.

Thanks to the Euroscience network, EuroWistdom also supports writers or producers seeking scientific advice for their stories.
The copyright on all new ideas remains with the writer or producer/writer team.
